Palermo announced on 3 October that its council had approved the 2026-2028 public works programme and 2026 annual schedule.
The programme contains 522 projects, over 80 of them in the annual list. Categories include urban regeneration, lighting and maintenance of public buildings and sports facilities.
School and nursery projects include fire safety, seismic and structural improvements. Inclusion is a planning milestone and does not establish that every construction site has opened.
