Monte Gallo: €10.7 million tender to address rockfalls
Works concern slopes above Partanna and Tommaso Natale; bids are due by 17 December.
The regional landslide-risk office has published a tender to reduce rockfall danger from Monte Gallo. The announced value is €10.7 million, with bids due by 17 December.
The project includes cables, anchors and rockfall barriers to protect the neighbourhoods below, combining active and passive measures. For residents, the important distinction is between a project, contract award and actual works. Publication of a tender is an administrative milestone, rather than completed safety improvements.
