Messina schools, unanimous proposal against new mergers

Meeting at Palazzo dei Leoni on 28 October, the provincial conference unanimously approved a proposal to retain the metropolitan school network for 2027/2028.
It proposes no mergers or closures. This is a stage in the planning process, rather than confirmation of a final regional decision.
Participants included representatives of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, Pace del Mela and Patti, school leaders and unions.
