Messina allocates €100,000 for Disability Card travel passes
Policy approved; operating arrangements still need to be defined.
Messina’s executive approved resolution 777 on 5 November, allocating €100,000 from the 2026 budget for free ATM urban transport passes.
The intended beneficiaries are city residents holding the European Disability Card.
The decision initiates the measure. The municipality and ATM must still define eligibility arrangements and application procedures for a later announcement; applications have not been announced as open.
